David “Bun” Kuropatsky, 64, of Frackville, formally of Gilberton, passed away Friday, November 3rd, at his residence.

Dave was born in Gilberton, PA on October 12, 1959, a son of the late Sara (McCabe) and Victor Kuropatsky.

He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School class of 1977. He was in Schuylkill County Vocational School for the Culinary Arts.

He was a member of Gilberton Methodist Church.

Dave had worked for Rockwell International, the Pottsville Republican and Boyers in Frackville.

Dave was a member of the Englwood Fire Company and also loved to cook. He always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was the husband of Theresa Kuropatsky.

David is also survived by a sister, Pamela Snyder, of Locustdale.

He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren Kylie, Brynlee and Jacob.

Preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Brassington, and a granddaughter Abbygail Sara Brassington.

Religious Service at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. , Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 8th, with Rev. John Wallace officiating.

William W. "Pap" Hopkins, 69, of Wayne Twp., passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 14, 1953, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late William W. Hopkins Sr. and Grace (Snyder) Hopkins.

He was married to Shirley J. (Heim) Hopkins for 53 years.

Pap attended Pottsville schools and was of the Protestant faith.

He worked as a self-employed carpet installer.

An avid hunter, he was also a member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Reedy; great-grandson, Jayden Klinger; and in-laws, Evelyn and Charles Steranko and Hazel and Pat Purcell.

In addition to his wife, Pap is survived by his son, William Hopkins III, husband of Marcy; daughter, Heather, wife of Adam Spotts; grandchildren, Dakota Shomper (Gary), Codi Keller (Adam Barnes), Aaron Hopkins, Skye Bickleman, Anthony Hopkins, Joyce Spotts and Samantha Spotts; great-grandchildren, Carter and Carson Shomper, Willow Barnes, Charlotte Shomper, Zaiden Poznanski, Nova Bickleman, Mavrik Bickleman and baby girl Barnes due April 2024; sister, Nancy, wife of Jim McNulty; and brother, Melvin Reedy, husband of Peggy.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona. Interment will be held privately.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home to defray cost of funeral expenses. Checks should be mailed to 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Irene A. Discavage, CRNA, 86 of Pottsville formerly of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday morning, November 2, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in William Penn on January 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Anna (Bernotsky) Discavage.

She was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights, the Pottsville School of Nursing and the Reading Hospital School of Anesthesiology.

Irene retired from Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Earlier she was employed as a registered nurse and CRNA at local hospitals.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former Saint George Church.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were three brothers, George, Albert and Joseph Discavage.

Surviving are her brother, Thomas J. Discavage of Hazle Township; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her special caregiver, Lynn Danouski for the compassion, kindness and care she gave Irene.

A private Mass of Christian Burial and interment in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights will be held at the convenience of the family.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin St., Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.

Nancy I. Bohr, 82, of Tower City, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 2, 2023, at the Heritage Mills Personal Care Home following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born in Dornsife, April 22, 1941, a daughter of the late Guy and Anna Morgan Snyder. Nancy was a graduate of Upper Dauphin High School. She received her paralegal certificate from Penn State University.

She was a retired paralegal, working for Williamson Freedburg & Jones LLC, Pottsville.

Nancy was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was of the United Brethren faith.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bohr, 2016, and a sister, Corinne Shadle.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheree Miller (Randy), Hegins; a granddaughter, Ashley Clark (Brian), Hegins; three brothers, Robert Snyder (Lorine), Shamokin, James Snyder (Susie), Lykens, and Dave Snyder (Dori), Elizabethville; two sisters, Mary Troutman (Walter), Elizabethville, and Debbie Joseph (Clair), Millersburg; a sister-in-law, Jean Raudenbush, Tower City; numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by her adopted family at Heritage Mills, especially Kayla and Cathy, and all those who took care of her from Compassionate Care Hospice.

Nancy will be laid to rest privately in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.

Eugene “Mike” Keller, 69, of Palo Alto, passed peacefully in his home with his long-time partner, Rose Maurer, by his side.
He was born in Reading on April 2, 1954, a son of the late Eugene A Keller and Margaret (Holland) Keller. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved going to the races and doing fireworks on the 4th of July Mike graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1973. Worked at EA Keller Ironworks, MidAtlantic Canners and Cabela's until his retirement. 
In addition to his parents, he proceeded in death by 2 sisters, Annie Keller, and Mary Hargraeves. 
In addition to his partner, Rose Maurer, he is survived by 2 sons, Michael J (Mic) Keller of Mohrsville, Pa and Steven J Keller of Bernville, Pa., and a daughter, Melissa A. Rivera of Pottsville. Grandchildren, Nicholas R. Keller of Mohrsville, Halie Maurer, Jenea Maurer and Elias Rivera of Pottsville. Also surviving are 5 brothers, Dan Keller, Steve Keller, Ben Keller, Joe Keller and Pete Keller all of Berks County, nieces and nephews.
